Edging

Lawn edging in Asheboro & Randolph County, NC

Clean, straight lines along your driveway, sidewalk, and beds. It is the part your neighbors notice.

What edging actually is

Grass creeps. Left alone it grows out over the edge of your driveway and sidewalk until the concrete looks narrower than it really is. Edging cuts a clean line where the grass stops and the hard surface starts.

It is the single biggest reason one cut yard looks finished and the one next door looks like someone just ran a mower over it.

Where I edge

  • Along the driveway
  • Along the sidewalk and any walkway to the door
  • The street curb
  • Around flower beds and landscaped areas

It is included, not an add-on

Edging comes with every full service cut. I do not charge extra for it and I do not skip it when I am in a hurry. It is part of the job.

If your edges have not been cut in a long time, the first visit takes longer. There can be a real ridge of built up grass and dirt to cut back. After that first one, keeping the line sharp is quick.

Why the edges matter

A yard that is mowed but not edged reads as unfinished, even to someone who could not tell you why.

Pair it with a blow off and the driveway looks like it was just poured.

Common questions about edging

Is edging included or does it cost extra?
It is included. Every full service cut covers mowing, edging, weed eating, and blow off for one price.
My edges have not been done in years. Can you fix them?
Yes. It takes longer on the first visit because there is usually a built up ridge of grass and soil to cut back, but once the line is re-established it stays easy to keep.
Do you edge around flower beds too?
Yes, along beds and landscaped areas as well as the hard surfaces. Tell me if there is a bed you would rather I stay out of.
